As a third-year English major at the University of Irvine, I regularly exercise my skills in writing and critical analysis. My specific area of interest is in the Romantic period of American literature and its exploration of the human psyche. In many ways, studying literature is like solving a mystery. Every piece has its own number of clues and complexities, all of which reveal more about the world around us. Outside of my academics, I still find the most solace in books and enjoy making donations to my local library.
My introduction to law was at the age of 13, when I joined my county’s junior police program. The program taught me a variety of concepts, such as: legal procedure, the structure of law enforcement, my lack of athleticism. But between failing all the endurance tests, I discovered my knack for memorizing state laws. From then on, my days were comprised of studying the varying facets of our judicial system to see where I belong. Whether it be through reading through court cases, drafting fake bills, or watching hours of Judge Judy, I set to expand my understanding. Now, and with this team, I get the incredible opportunity of witnessing firsthand what our legal system can do.
